Accenture Presentation Suite

Digital Antics have developed and installed a state-of-the-art showcase presentation system for Accenture in both their UK high performance showcase at Canary Wharf in London and in their Research & Development facility, just outside of New York, USA. The system enables images and video to be played back on an array of screens within the room and two vast panoramic walls around the outside of the suite using real-time 3D distortion and soft-edging in order to compensate for the curved surface.

Accenture have long been well established as a global leader in IT and business process out-sourcing, but never before have they had such a technological advancement for presenting material to their potential and existing client base.

Running the show is a bespoke software suite developed by Digital Antics called SimpleAVP, allowing the import and management of multi-screen presentations complete with an intuitive touchscreen user interface to run the show. It allows the client to utilise near off-the-shelf desktop computers to show high-definition video and images and combine them together to form a large panorama.

Having initially developed and set up the system in Accenture’s Canary Wharf offices almost two years ago, Digital Antics were asked to recreate a mirror system across the pond in Accenture’s Murray Hill Innovation Centre in New Jersey. This autumn, work finished on the Murray Hill suite following three weeks effort on Digital Antics’ part in America, working closely with Accenture’s own project managers.

The original system in place at London’s Docklands was written by Digital Antics using various technologies, including C++, C#, VB.NET, DirectX and DirectShow. Additionally, Digital Antics were able to implement their Panoramic Player technology: a realtime 3D distortion system. This software was originally created for the West End and Broadway theatre productions of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Woman In White.

Over the past year and a half, the SimpleAVP system has been modified and improved with several upgrades, notably the implementation of an advanced import/export system enabling both US and UK sites to interchange complex multi-screen shows.

The presentation suite allows a presenter to create and showcase a unique production across its screens as well as wireless tablet PCs for the individual delegates viewing the show. These tablets display the current presentation and allow delegates to interact with each other and with the show in real time.

Each screen can be addressed separately or collectively, building a truly individual business presentation environment. A curved central feature wall grabs the viewer’s attention while two vast, semi-circular panoramic walls envelop the delegate, allowing for a uniquely immersive experience. With this, Digital Antics have enabled Accenture to significantly raise the bar on showcasing media to their clients.
