AMEX ‘Pose with the Pros’ at Wimbledon Tennis
Digital Antics have developed a bespoke hardware and software solution for Momentum UK and their client AMEX to take and process digital photos at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
The installation consisted of a green screen capture capability with realtime preview. This allowed the visitor to see themselves next to a tennis pro. The operator could capture a still image of their pose at any point and then print it immediately, complete with AMEX branding.
Technologies
- DirectShow green screen filter developed in native C++ allowing realtime compositing of background, live camera image and overlay.
- Multi-head Visual Basic .NET application offering operator control screen, visitor preview screen and exterior slide show independent monitor outputs from the one machine.
Services
Digital Antics supplied equipment (computers, cameras and printers) as well as operations crew who interfaced with and entertained the visitors to the booths.
One unit was installed at the Wimbledon main site and two were installed at the Tower Bridge offsite AMEX sponsored big screen installation.
