Video Control for Ford at NAIAS 2006
For a third year running Digital Antics have provided bespoke video systems control application development for Creative Technology and their client Imagination for Ford at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.
Digital Antics’ Managing Director Quintin Willison updated the existing Visual Basic .NET code which he had developed two years previously to target the new equipment under control this year, which included Doremi V1 MJPEG players (nine HD and three SD) as well as a Sierra matrix router.
The simple user interface allowed the operations team from Creative Technology (headed up by project manager Herb Brandt, head of technical services, Darren Alexander and senior technician Andy Jury) to manage and maintain playlists of clips across the multiple playback channels; all in full synchronisation every time and fully automatic in operation.
As with the previously developed version of this solution, the package is designed to support the Ford booth on the entire American auto show tour (including New York and Chicago).
In addition to providing application programming services Digital Antics also supplied IT installation and support technical services in the form of technicians Paul Scullion and Tom Pitt-Chambers.
