Software Components
The software runs on off-the-shelf desktop PC hardware and comprises of three core modules which interoperate with one another over a local area network:
- ChromaPose is the core of the system. It is used to process photos imported in to the system removing the background colour (usually green) and replacing it with the customer’s chosen background and foreground elements. From here it can be printed and optionally sent to ChromaDisplay.
- ChromaDisplay provides a digital signage drive solution. It is capable of playlisting advertising content with live feeds from both ChromaSelect (raw customer photos) and ChromaPose (printed compositions) to encourage more customers to have their photos taken.
- ChromaSelect is an optional extra which neatly extends the flexibility and scalability of the solution as a whole for venues where the photos will be taken in one place and the sale of the photos done elsewhere. It offers a front end user interface at the point of photo acquisiton. Customers can select backgrounds, enter their personal details and preview photos as soon as they have been taken. Once the customer is happy, the photos are sent over a network connection to one or more ChromaPose stations and the customer is printed a barcoded receipt to be presented at the tills for processing by ChromaPose.
Hardware Components
The ChromaPose suite has been designed to be as flexible as you need it to be. Thanks to its modular design, systems can be put together from avalable building blocks to suit varying venue sizes and needs.
Minimum hardware requirements include:

- Windows PC with recent graphics card or chipset which is utilised for the pixel shader processing capabilities of its graphics processing unit (GPU).
